People do notice when you ride your bike shrewoeme others would drive. A couple of weeks ago, I rode my bike (with a 3 year old in the double-trailer behind me) to the Verizon store. Not a far ride, but you do realize the time commitment involved in getting a 3 year old prepped to go anywhere, right?Anyway, I pulled up, realized there wasn't a place to lock up my bike. So I leaned it against the window, pushing the trailer as far out of the way as I could. Inside, as I did a phone switch, the 20-something sales reps chatted with me quite a bit about how cool it was to see me on my bike and accompanied by my daughter. I think we totally bonded.
